Your support and friendship means so much to us and the horses at Redwings!

We rescue abused and neglected horses, providing permanent sanctuary for those who cannot be adopted and finding forever homes for those who can — including Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds we carefully rehabilitate and retrain for new careers.

"I'm so grateful for Redwings Horse Sanctuary! Please consider adopting or donating to support all the amazing love and care they give to their rescues." – Actress & Activist Daryl Hannah and her adopted horse, Mr. G

RESCUE ~ REHABILITATE ~ REHOME

Your support enables Redwings to be a home for 90 equines who have found a safe, soft landing at our sanctuary. Each year, we take in more than 20 new equines in need — many are abandoned, neglected, abused, or sold at auctions where their futures were uncertain. With patient care and compassion, we bring them back to health and give them the chance to trust again.

Our herd is as diverse as their stories. It includes mustangs from the Pryor Mountains of Montana, retired Border Patrol horses, and even a decorated military horse from Vandenberg Space Force Base. Each one has a unique journey, but they all share the same gift here: safety, love, and dignity.

Redwings is also proud to rehabilitate, retrain, and rehome retired or injured racehorses. As an approved aftercare partner with CARMA (California Retirement Management Account) and accredited by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA), we give Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds time to heal from their racing days or track injuries and prepare them for second careers as trail horses, light sport horses, or beloved family companions.

Every day, your kindness makes this mission possible. Every gift helps provide feed, veterinary care, and shelter. Every act of support ensures these incredible animals are never forgotten.

Together, we are where hope runs free.
